...QUIT came up out of the palm trees and sands of Miami, Florida. Their
melodic rock sound influenced a generation of bands from the southeast that
currently rule the charts and indie airwaves. Jennyanykind hailing
from Chapel Hill, NC. Inebriated roots based indie-rock with releases on
No.6, Caroline, and Elektra Records cited as the muse for many of todays
alt-country rockers. Chicago clubland, Nashville grandstand, Tuscon desert
sand battling hair metal bands with country and blues proving that staying
power ain't a fashion statement.

Adventures In Tourism
"...about the thrill of escape and the vehicles that take you there..."
Adventures in Tourism can't help but be a walking talking storybook of highway tales and late night travels. Founded in Boston in 1999 by Russell Mofsky,a Miami native via Brooklyn, as an outlet for self-expression from his band QUIT. The one man band grew to two when Tom Royal, a North Carolinian sidetracked from graduate school, met Mofsky in a run down pub across the tracks with one hell of a jukebox. The two hit it off and sought others who "got it". Gary Goodlow, meandering into town from Tuscon, barely got his pedal board unpacked when he stumbled across the duo and made it a trio. Finally came Paul Gallo who wandered in with only kick and snare in tow proving that rhythm ain't rocket science. With so many miles under the hood traveling the states and beyond, Adventures in Tourism comes across its yearn for travel honestly. With the comings and goings as life as a musician and seeker, "It's really all we know" says Mofsky. "To travel is to absorb where you are and carry that with you where you are going."
Russell Mofsky sings, plays guitars, some keys, and twiddles the knobs of little pedals that sit on the floor.
Tom Royal sings, plays bass and bass fiddle
Gary Goodlow plays the guitar licks that make the songs stick.
Paul Gallo pounds skins and rides the cusp of Pisces and Aquarius.
